It’s no more a “taboo” state !!
First of all I am not a Gujarati nor a resident of Gujarat, it’s just an honest opinion about the present condition of our country with respect to one of its “Taboo” states …now i am using the word taboo because whenever we talk about Gujarat, the first thing that conquers our mind is the “Godhra riots” whereas i believe that we should move on..and look at the positive aspects of the administration there after all a single incident of misfortune draped with it should not be considered the permanent attire of the state. The truth is no state has made advancements in the last decade as has Gujarat and its time that we start considering it the new Bengal of India.

Gandhinagar (the capital) has been tailored as the one of the safest cities of India and the sincere efforts of the modi government to attain this stature should not be under-played. Gujarat was in a terrorizing situation after the 2002 Godhra riots and it is indeed a commendable job performed by the modi government to come back that strongly from the severe setback .Today Gujarat is one of the cleanest, safest, and most developed state of India and all that has been in-line with the safety and security of the minorities .
India’s first “alcohol free state”!!
Alcohol and other forms of addictives are a major cause of road-rashes and hot-blooded crimes. The major cause of resistance against its ban is the duty that the government receives on it. Every government in the present context is just greedy enough to simply earn from the sale of alcohol with an utter disregard to the security of its innocent citizens. It’s indeed heartening to see a 21st century government sacrificing a lot of revenue just for the protection of its citizens and I think that this effort needs to be tremendously appreciated and no, the argument of individual choice and individual liberty does not stand in comparison to the benefits that the whole society derives from living in an alcohol free state!!
